Thanksgiving Disappointment At one time we could honestly celebrate Thanksgiving Day as a day remembered by white civilization. However it may have started, it was remembered before and after the Civil War. Even then, many white Americans lost some of their Constitutional rights. However, later on, especially after the Kennedy Civil Rights Act of 1964, many Constitutional, white rights were taken away. Afterward, Affirmative Action openly made the white a second-class citizen and Reverse Discrimination began. We can no longer celebrate the day as we used to: Our freedom and prosperity has been turned into tyranny and oppression. We cannot celebrate a day that no longer stands for what it did. What a tragedy!
