Introduction to Greek Course: Audio Cassette

file glw-1c

Take advantage of the tape if you possibly can.  Even though it may be accomplished, relying only on written forms and memory is not the recommended way for learning pronunciation.  However, from my experience many students seem to have progressed well without using the cassette. It is not necessary.

If you send us a cassette for voice recording comments, please remember: It costs us about $1.00 to $1.50 to return your cassette to you.

On the on-line pages ahead, information about the book, and also information concerning your Greek font and alphabet or how to get it free for your computer is available.

I prefer that you wait until you have a book before you begin learning the alphabet. You may begin practicing to write the letters of the alphabet at any time. There are different schools of pronunciation, and web sources may confuse you. Use the pronunciation that your book uses.

P.S.

Advice: Do not spend money on the web; there is a lot of free stuff you can use.
