ARAMAIC

A Well Known Gospel Verse

  Kiraz, G. A. (2002). The Peshitta (Jn 3:16).

For Bible study, I recommend that you learn the New Testament Greek first, then the LXX1. You can study the Hebrew Old Testament2 along with it and analyze the variations at the same time (margins and apparatus3). The Latin is also useful. Then, adding Aramaic should help to give you a real good set of tools for textual criticism.

You are welcome to use the CLRC Aramaic forum. Just for basic theological thought I will add a link to our community doctrine.

CLRC's Hebrew Site

Beware: Contra-culture

As I noted in the Hebrew site, you must be aware that many peoples of different languages do not or did not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They worshipped false gods in many instances. So you must realize that when you attempt to learn a language you do not know yet, you must be sure you have a firm foundation and knowledge of who God is, and was, and shall be; and don't let those who have worshipped other than the Lord influence your education and worship in a negative way.
